Google has just unveiled Gemini, the first multimodal AI that has surpassed human experts on the MMLU with a score above 90%. Set to directly intergrate into Google apps, Gemini is the GPT-4 competitor with three distinct models - Ultra, Pro, and Nano.
Gemini’s ability to process images and speak in real time solidifies its multimodal functionality. Its advanced features include sophisticated reasoning, multimodality, and progressive coding, making it far superior in mathematics and coding when compared to the ChatGPT (GPT-4) model.
Remarkably, Gemini Ultra has outclassed the current state-of-the-art results in 30 of the 32 benchmarks used for LLM R&D. Similarly, Gemini Pro has shown an impressive performance, outdoing GPT-3.5 in six out of eight benchmarks. Today, it’s available for free in Bard and across Google apps, making it ’the most powerful free chatbot on the market'.
Meanwhile, Pixel 8 Pro now sees the integration of the Gemini Nano, powering on-device generative AI features. Some of its exciting new features encompass ‘Summarize in Recorder’, ‘Smart Reply in Gboard’, cutting-edge video technology, and enhanced photography and image editing capabilities.
